ANGEL DAY NURSERY was established in 1989 and offers children aged 5 months to 5 years a homely, caring and cheerful environment within a family atmosphere.
We are situated in a quiet residential area offering convenience and easy access from most areas as well as being close to town.
LARGE PLAYROOMS provide a bright, happy and airy atmosphere within, whilst outside a FULLY ENCLOSED GARDEN with a "Safe-Barked" play area and sandpit provide a healthy balance for outdoor fun. Located close to Sandford Park and the local Fire Station, we also benefit from being able to take the children on nature walks and to explore the fire engines (with parents permission).
As Proprietor I am qualified with Early Years Professional Status (EYPS) and I ensure that our FULLY QUALIFIED and EXPERIENCED STAFF are always on hand to provide encouragement, care and attention through lots of imaginative and creative play which is so very important for a child’s individual character development and confidence building. A sense of achievement is cultivated so that children gain confidence as they progress through different stages of development.
NOTICE BOARDS situated throughout the nursery are a great source of news and interest, for the joint use of both Nursery and Families. We also display PHOTOGRAPHS of children during their normal day at nursery and capturing special moments, these photographs are then kept in the children's Learning Journeys or sent home for the parents to keep.
Our POLICY'S AND PROCEDURES manual is available and accessible at nursery; this working document details our policies on Health and Safety, Admissions, Equal Opportunities etc. We are registered under the 2006 CHILDREN ACT with OFSTED. Our Certificate of registration is displayed in the entrance hall.
We work within the EARLY YEARS FOUNDATION STAGE (EYFS) focusing on THE CHILD celebrating the skill and competence of babies and young children. We provide a well planned and resourced curriculum to devolop learning and to provide opportunities for all children to succeed and an environment where they are valued and cared for.
